YOUTH PROGRAMS

Whether you're an experienced rower or not, the Jacksonville Rowing Club has a program for you. Rowing is a low-impact aerobic sport that exercises both the upper and lower body, and provides a complete cardiovascular and strength workout. Regardless of your athletic level, rowing represents a great way to get and stay in shape while enjoying the beautiful St. Johns river with friends. Perhaps that why so many of our members have remained with us for years.

The Jacksonville Rowing Club's various coeducational youth programs accommodate rowers of all athletic levels. An experienced coaching staff helps rowers develop skills, improve technique and develop both strength and endurance. The youth programs provide First Coast students a great opportunity to enjoy rowing, stay in shape, meet new people, and, if they choose, to participate in interscholastic competition across the State.

Youth teams include representatives from several area schools. Youth teams compete in head races during the fall season and in sprints in the Spring.
